Zoom
In – Select the Zoom In option located above
the map and click on the map at a point where you would like to zoom in.
Alternatively, you can click and drag a box around an area you wish to zoom in
to.
Zoom
Out – Select the Zoom Out option located above
the map and click on the map to zoom out. Alternatively, you can click and
drag a box to zoom out to various scales. A small box will zoom out a long
way, a larger box will zoom out less.
Centre Map – Select the Centre Map option located above the map. Simply click
on the map at the location where you wish to centre the map. The map will then
focus on this point.
Map
Scale bar – Use the plus and minus arrows on the scale bar located above the map to show the map at
larger or smaller scales respectively. Alternatively, hover the mouse over the
scale bar graduations to view the map scale options before clicking on one of
them. The Interactive Map can be viewed at eight different scales. It is
restricted to these scales only.
Map
Arrows – Use one of the eight arrows surrounding the map to move the map
in the direction of the arrow.
Larger Map/Smaller map – The Interactive Map is
designed for screen resolutions of 800 x 600 or above. Users with a screen
resolution of 1024 x 768 who have a broadband connection may want to take
advantage of the Larger Map option. Screen refresh
speeds may be compromised if using the large map over a dial-up
connection.
